Key Responsibilities of a Production, Planning, and Expediting Services Business Owner
1. Material Coordination
- Ensure that essential materials are properly arranged and dispatched to manufacturing sites as required.
2. Communication with Manufacturing In-Charge
- Regularly communicate with the person in charge of the manufacturing facility or shift to understand material needs and timing.
3. Interaction with Procurement
- Inform procurement departments of any material shortages, helping them schedule orders from suppliers promptly.
4. Stock Management
- Take stock of materials before and after delivery to the work site, ensuring accurate tracking.
5. Supply Scheduling
- Schedule the supply of materials from storage to manufacturing sites, coordinating the flow to meet production demands.
6. Clerical Duties
- Perform clerical tasks such as calculating stock, forecasting material requirements, and informing the procurement department of needs.
7. Quality Assurance
- Inform the quality department about the material quality in your charge, ensuring that standards are met.

- Work closely with production management to determine the number of units to be manufactured and coordinate with other departments on material requirements and timing.
