Core Responsibilities
1. Project Planning
- Study plans and specifications for projects, determining the ideal materials and quantities needed for each job.
2. Material Selection
- Choose appropriate materials, including metal sheets, fiberglass, and plastic boards, based on project requirements.
3. Fabrication
- Use a variety of tools to fabricate products, including computer-controlled saws, lasers, shears, and presses for precise cutting, bending, and fastening.
4. Manual Fabrication
- When computerized equipment is unavailable, use tapes, rulers, and machine tools to take measurements and cut or stamp parts manually.
5. Assembly and Quality Control
- Assemble various parts, conduct quality checks to ensure proper fitting and joining, and use hand, rotary, or squaring shears and hacksaws to finish pieces.
6. Fastening
- Fasten joints by welding or using bolts, rivets, solder, or other connecting devices.
7. Installation
- Transport fabricated products to the installation site and complete minimal onsite work to ensure proper installation.
8. Safety Protocols
- Implement and adhere to safety precautions and use safety gear to prevent injuries and illnesses, ensuring a safe working environment.
